What Is Responsive Design?

With the advance in technology, you no longer need a computer to access the Internet. You can do so with a tablet or even a smartphone. Responsive design is a web design technique that allows websites to change their layouts automatically to accommodate the different screen sizes and resolutions.

Instead of displaying website elements, such as an image or a text box, according to their actual sizes, a responsive website displays these elements based on their percentages on a screen. Depending on the screen size, the sizes of these elements and layout are adjusted on a mobile responsive website so they display optimally.

When a small business expands its online presence, it needs to make its website responsive to display properly for customers, regardless of the devices they use. When customers enjoy visiting your website, it’s more likely for them to return.
