Accounting Tips: Ditch Paper Timesheets

Paper time sheets and payroll systems performed their jobs well until technology introduced more efficient alternatives. Small businesses that opt for all-in-one digital solutions typically save time and money. Scheduling and timekeeping software vary in features and price points. Some are designed to meet the demands of specific industries, such as Empower for manufacturing firms and ClockShark for construction companies. Other programs, including HRweb, offer enough functionality to fulfill the needs of almost any small business. Unlike paper time sheets, these programs require very little time from employees or administrators. Many include mobile apps for added convenience. Computer-based solutions also reduce the chance of mistakes and simplify record-keeping, and most programs easily import into QuickBooks.
