A charity drive is a very effective method to increase your customer traffic. Customer traffic is the lifeblood of any business and is often the difference between success and failure. A charity drive also leads to more motivated employees and creates a positive aura around your business in the minds of customers. The first step in launching a charity drive is to decide what cause to support and what incentive you to offer your customers. For example, when the temperatures are getting colder, you could ask for people to donate socks, gloves, winter jackets, and other warm outerwear that will be donated to a community coat drive to support people in need. In turn, you can offer your customers some sort of discount on their purchases. The next step is to market your charity drive. Use social media, traditional advertising, and word of mouth. Post signs and flyers at busy intersections, talk to local religious organizations, and send press releases to local newspapers. Next, set up a system so that your business can accept donations and then give customers a coupon that they can apply on their next purchase. Essentially, a charity drive can achieve goals that you could accomplish by more expensive marketing or branding campaigns. Additionally, you can make a positive impact in your community and increase the goodwill around your business, which can translate into future business.
